We are looking for a skilled and motivated Lead ServiceNow Developer to contribute to implementing platform solutions focused on the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and related functionalities.
This role involves a critical focus on designing, configuring, and integrating the CMDB, leveraging the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and incorporating Discovery, Service Mapping, and system integrations for both cloud and on-premises environments.
This technical position requires extensive knowledge of CI lifecycle automation, Discovery patterns, service modeling, and data ingestion methodologies from varied infrastructure sources.
Responsibilities
- Design a scalable and service-oriented CMDB in alignment with CSDM standards
- Optimize and tailor ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping for accurate CI data and relationships
- Create class models, transform maps, reconciliation rules, and automated CI lifecycle processes
- Coordinate integrations with platforms such as AWS, Azure, SCCM, Active Directory, and vCenter
- Maintain high-quality CMDB data using Health frameworks, normalization rules, and duplicate management tools
- Address issues in Discovery jobs, data inconsistencies, and integration failures
- Document CMDB architecture, Discovery configurations, and integration strategies comprehensively
- Utilize scripting and Flow Designer capabilities to automate workflows while ensuring alignment with platform updates
Requirements
- Background in ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping
- Familiarity with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and CI class organization
- Understanding of integrations involving cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and on-premises systems (SCCM, Active Directory, virtualization technologies)
- Proficiency in JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, and MID Server deployment and upkeep
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure such as servers, networks, virtualization, and cloud ecosystems
- Competency in resolving complex technical challenges within IT systems
- Strong communication skills in English, capable of collaborating across geographically distributed teams
- ServiceNow certifications like CMDB, Discovery, or App Developer (preferred)

- Proficiency in handling large-scale CMDB structures and managing extensive data sets
- Background in applying advanced scripting techniques for robust ServiceNow automation
- Familiarity with best practices in CI lifecycle processes and asset management practices
