We are seeking a talented and motivated Lead ServiceNow Developer to contribute to the implementation of platform solutions focused on Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and associated functionalities.
In this role, you will play a critical part in the design, configuration, and integration of CMDB, ensuring alignment with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and integration with Discovery, Service Mapping, as well as cloud and on-premises systems.
This technical position requires significant proficiency in CI lifecycle automation, Discovery patterns, service modeling, and data ingestion from diverse infrastructure sources.
Responsibilities
- Design a scalable and service-aware CMDB in alignment with CSDM standards
- Configure ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping to ensure accurate CI data and relationships
- Establish class models, transform maps, reconciliation rules, and lifecycle processes for CI automation
- Plan integrations with cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure, and on-prem systems such as SCCM, Active Directory, and vCenter
- Ensure CMDB data quality through CMDB Health frameworks, normalization rules, and duplicate detection tools
- Investigate issues related to Discovery jobs, data inconsistencies, and integration errors
- Provide detailed documentation for CMDB designs, Discovery configurations, and integration setups
- Utilize scripting and Flow Designer to streamline workflows while staying informed on platform updates
Requirements
- Background in ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping
- Familiarity with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and CI class structures
- Understanding of integrations with cloud systems (AWS, Azure) and on-prem systems (SCCM, Active Directory, virtualization technologies)
- Proficiency in JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, and MID Server installation and maintenance
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, virtualization, and cloud environments
- Competency in solving technical challenges within complex IT systems
- Effective communication skills in English, with the capability to collaborate across dispersed teams
- ServiceNow certifications such as CMDB, Discovery, or App Developer are advantageous
Nice to have
- Proficiency in managing hierarchical CMDBs involving large-scale data
- Background in applying advanced scripting techniques for ServiceNow automation
- Familiarity with best practices for CI lifecycles and asset management
