We are looking for a skilled and motivated Lead ServiceNow Developer to contribute to the creation and implementation of platform solutions focused on the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and related capabilities.

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in the customization, configuration, and integration of the CMDB, aligned with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and augmented by Discovery, Service Mapping, and integrations across cloud and on-premises systems.

This technical role requires advanced knowledge of CI lifecycle automation, Discovery patterns, service modeling, and data ingestion across diverse infrastructure sources.

Responsibilities
  • Design a scalable CMDB framework that aligns with CSDM principles and supports service-aware configurations
  • Configure ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping to ensure precise CI data and relationship accuracy
  • Develop comprehensive class models, transform maps, and reconciliation rules to automate CI lifecycle processes
  • Facilitate integrations with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, alongside on-premise solutions such as SCCM, Active Directory, and vCenter
  • Improve CMDB data integrity through CMDB Health monitoring, normalization standards, and duplicate resolution approaches
  • Identify and resolve issues related to Discovery jobs, data discrepancies, and integration failures
  • Deliver detailed documentation outlining CMDB designs, Discovery setups, and integration processes
  • Use scripting and Flow Designer tools to optimize workflows while remaining informed about platform advancements
Requirements
  • Background in ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping
  • Familiarity with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) concepts and CI classification structures
  • Understanding of connectivity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and on-premises tools (SCCM, Active Directory, virtualization platforms)
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, and deployment/maintenance of MID Servers
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, network components, virtualization, and cloud environments
  • Competency in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges within intricate IT systems
  • Effective English communication skills with an aptitude for collaboration across distributed teams
  • ServiceNow certifications such as CMDB, Discovery, or App Developer are an advantage

  • Competency in managing extensive CMDB hierarchies with large-scale datasets
  • Skills in implementing advanced scripting solutions to enhance ServiceNow automation capabilities
  • Understanding of best practices for configuration item lifecycle management and asset tracking systems
