We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead ServiceNow Developer to contribute to implementing platform solutions focused on the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and related functionalities.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, configuring, and integrating CMDB in alignment with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and enhanced by Discovery, Service Mapping, and integrations across cloud and on-premises systems.

This technical position requires significant expertise in CI lifecycle automation, Discovery techniques, service modeling, and data ingestion from varied infrastructure sources.

Responsibilities
  • Create a scalable, service-aware CMDB in compliance with CSDM standards
  • Optimize ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping to ensure precise CI data and relationships
  • Develop class models, transform maps, reconciliation rules, and lifecycle processes for CI automation
  • Integrate with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, and on-prem systems including SCCM, Active Directory, and vCenter
  • Maintain CMDB data quality using CMDB Health frameworks, normalization rules, and duplicate detection tools
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to Discovery jobs, data inconsistencies, and integration errors
  • Document CMDB designs, Discovery configurations, and integration setups in a structured format
  • Use scripting and Flow Designer to streamline workflows while actively adapting to platform updates
Requirements
  • Background in ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping
  • Familiarity with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and CI class structures
  • Understanding of integrations with cloud systems (AWS, Azure) and on-prem systems (SCCM, Active Directory, virtualization technologies)
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, and MID Server installation and maintenance
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, virtualization, and cloud environments
  • Competency in solving technical challenges within complex IT systems
  • Effective communication in English, with the ability to collaborate across distributed teams
  • ServiceNow certifications such as CMDB, Discovery, or App Developer are considered beneficial

  • Expertise in working with advanced CMDB hierarchies involving high-volume data
  • Skills in utilizing advanced scripting for automating ServiceNow processes
  • Capability to apply best practices for CI lifecycle management and asset tracking
