Lead Security Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lead Security Systems Engineer to act as a subject matter expert within Software, System, and Test Engineering.

You will work in Newtown, PA and various long-term unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S.

Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, follow, explain and enhance defined security processes within and across the linked teams
  • Actively influence and integrate different processes based on Software development process, application, infrastructure/cloud security, and their assessment methodologies
  • Work closely with the software development staff to design and build production systems in the cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-premise datacenters
  • Take technical responsibility for a subsystem or a whole project
  • Oversee the development of general system designs including application architecture diagrams, integration architecture diagrams, and deployment architecture diagrams, and playing a senior project role
  • Review support and end-user documentation
  • Train and mentor other systems engineers
  • Utilize different software development methodologies, processes, techniques, and quality planning methods in all phases of work
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Management Information Systems, Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics, Mathematics, Physics, or closely related discipline; plus 30 months of employment experience in job offered (Lead Security Systems Engineer), Security Systems Engineer, Systems Engineer, Software Engineer, Developer, Support Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Database Architect, Database Consultant, Technical Lead, Build Engineer, Security Engineer, Security Analyst, Information Architect, Network Administrator, Network Engineer, or closely related occupation
  • Designing processes based on security best practices, industry standards, and frameworks utilizing at least one of the following cybersecurity technologies: Cisco AMP, Symantec ATP/EP, SIEM, MDM, EMM, ITSM/ITIL, Check Point, Nessus, Splunk, or ELK Stack
  • Developing security system designs incorporating knowledge of at least one of the following cloud services and web technologies: AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Assuming technical responsibility for subsystems or entire projects using at least one of the following command line shells or programming languages: Java, .NET, C++, Python, JavaScript, or SQL
  • Integrating defined processes based on ITIL/ITSM, SDLC frameworks and applications, infrastructure-cloud security, and their assessment methodologies by utilizing at least one of the following tools: Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, or Chef
  • Employing software development methodology: Agile
