We are looking for a Lead SAP CAP Developer with expertise in Java to join our team.
You will work on the development of multiple services from the ground up within the SAP Business Network. You will be involved in all stages of the product development and deployment lifecycle, including idea generation, planning, design, prototyping, execution, shipping, and iteration. You are a problem solver, regardless of which frameworks you use or how you learned them, and we're looking for people who can write clean and effective code.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development team in building commercial software solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams including development, QA, and UX
- Help the team analyze, research, and resolve production issues, customer requests, and inquiries, escalating when appropriate
- Assess the severity and scope of production problems and maintain accountability until they are fully resolved
- Efficiently organize and address multiple production issues and customer requests from various sources, delegating when and where appropriate
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional relevant experience in software development
- At least 1 year of experience in people management or team leadership, covering a team of 5 or more FTEs
- Deep knowledge of design patterns and data structures
- Experience coding web-based applications and coordinating the work of a development team
- Experience building web APIs and applying API-first design principles, including tools such as Swagger, GraphQL, and REST API
- Fiori-based development skills, including SAPUI5, oData, and CAP CDS
- Mastery of Java Spring Boot and web service development
- Familiarity with Hana DB for enterprise data management
- Proficiency with development tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Selenium, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Puppet, and Chef
- Good understanding of deployment environments, application configuration, and change management principles
- Familiarity with at least one relational database management system
- Agile development experience using version control platforms such as Git, GitHub, or GitLab
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience with issue tracking tools such as JIRA for defect management
- English at B2 level or higher, with strong written and verbal communication skills
