We are looking for a Lead Full Stack Engineer for an end-to-end data governance and data exploration platform. In this role, you will shape core features from frontend to backend. You will deliver scalable web experiences, guide engineering practices, and help the team ship reliably.
Responsibilities
- Design responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using modern UI/UX practices
- Build and maintain server-side services and APIs for core platform capabilities
- Optimize backend performance, scalability, and reliability under production workloads
- Collaborate with product, design, and data engineering to integrate frontend and backend components
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented code aligned with agreed standards
- Use AI coding agents such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex to accelerate delivery and quality
- Design database schemas and optimize SQL queries for efficient storage and retrieval
- Test and debug applications to resolve defects and performance bottlenecks
- Review code to uphold quality and mentor engineers through feedback and coaching
- Coordinate with DevOps to deploy and operate services in production on AWS
- Propose architecture and process improvements based on industry trends
- Provide technical guidance and unblock the team during delivery
Requirements
- 5+ years of full stack development experience with Python and modern web frameworks
- Strong experience with FastAPI, ReactJS, and JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services for deploying and operating applications
- Proven experience with agentic coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex
- Leadership experience mentoring engineers and driving code quality through reviews
- Strong project ownership skills across design, delivery, and production support
- Solid database skills with SQL including schema design and query optimization
- Strong troubleshooting skills for debugging complex frontend and backend issues
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and technical guidance
- Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2, Upper-Intermediate)
- EU or US East location alignment and availability to work until 18:00 CET for EU-based roles
