Lead Python Engineer with AWS for a Leading Business Services Provider

We are currently looking for a remote Lead Python Engineer with Python proficiency and advanced experience with AWS to join our team.

The customer is a provider of high-quality business services in such areas as IT, Procurement, HR, Product Lifecycle Services, Financial Reporting and Analytics, and Real Estate and Facility Services.

The project scope is associated with development and support of the new data platform that will support analytics across different domains and functional areas.

Responsibilities
  • Work in an Agile team(s) implementing Analytics platforms
  • Understand the requirements and implement the Analytics platform
  • Collaborate with product owners and team members on requirements and implementation approaches for addressing demand and challenges
  • Update status in JIRA and emails on regular basis
  • Take ownership of the stories assigned
Requirements
  • 8+ years of related professional experience
  • In-depth understanding and implementation knowledge of Python with AWS boto3 SDK
  • Strong understanding of Linux OS and commands
  • Hands-on knowledge of setting up Docker containerization and running application on ECS, EKS
  • Exposure to setting up analytical tools such as RStudio, MLflow, Jupyter, etc.
  • Solid experience of using and implementing AWS services (EC2, S3, ECS, AWS SageMaker)
  • Strong Jenkins skills
  • GitLab experience
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to provide alternative solutions to technical problems
  • Strong (B2+) English written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or equivalent field
  • 1+ year of relevant leadership experience
