We are seeking a Lead Python Developer to join our team. Responsibilities
- Design and construct backend services that meet defined performance, scalability, and reliability benchmarks
- Contribute to architectural discussions that shape the future direction of our systems
- Partner with cross-functional teams to convert business requirements into workable technical solutions
- Write clean, maintainable, and rigorously tested code across the services you create
- Conduct code reviews for teammates to help maintain consistent quality and standards
- Diagnose and resolve intricate issues that affect application performance and stability
- Contribute to the successful deployment and ongoing operational health of cloud-based applications
- Support continuous improvement of engineering practices, tooling, and workflows
- Engage in planning sessions to define scope and estimate effort for upcoming initiatives
- Offer mentorship and guidance to fellow engineers throughout the development lifecycle
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- At least one year of experience leading and managing development teams
- Strong understanding of software development principles, including SOLID and clean architecture
- Proven track record building cloud-based, microservice-oriented backend services
- Solid Python backend experience, including core Python, dependency management with Poetry, the FastAPI framework, and async programming with Asyncio
- Experience designing and developing Angular single-page web applications
- Experience with RxJS, NgRx, and Nx
- Experience working with Node.js
- Cloud experience with Azure
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of scalability, performance, and reliability across distributed systems
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications
- Proficiency with Docker
- Knowledge of cloud fundamentals, preferably Azure, with AWS regarded as a plus
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, with GitOps or ArgoCD regarded as a plus
- Experience with Go (Golang) regarded as a plus
- Good communication skills
- Excellent English proficiency (B2 level or higher)
