Lead Python Developer

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Python Developer to join our remote team. As a Python Developer, you will be responsible for developing applications and designing systems to enhance, transform and aggregate data for our client. You should be a team player with good communication and documentation skills, and have the attitude to receive constructive feedback.

Responsibilities
  • Develop applications and design systems to enhance, transform and aggregate data for the client
  • Code complex data pipelines using Python and Spark
  • Write unit testing cases using mock frameworks
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the quality of the code
  • Work with AWS cloud components such as EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, and SQS
  • Participate in code review sessions to foster collaborative and efficient coding practices
  • Design and implement efficient data models
  • Work with data orchestration tools like Airflow to automate and schedule data processing workflows
  • Provide feedback to the team to improve the quality of the code
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in coding complex data pipelines and excellent coding skills in Python
  • Fluent in SQL, with experience in designing systems to enhance, transform and aggregate data
  • Extensive knowledge of Spark and Hive data processing frameworks
  • Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms
  • Experience in test-driven development and writing unit testing cases using mock frameworks
  • Experience with AWS cloud and its components such as EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, and RDS
  • Familiarity with CI/CD
  • Relevant leadership experience
  • Good spoken and written English at an upper-intermediate level or higher
