We are seeking a motivated Lead Python Developer to join our remote team. As the lead developer, you will be responsible for the migration to cloud, implementing new data sources, data governance layers, and storing data in Elastic Search. Our ideal candidate will have excellent coding skills in Python, very good understanding of SQL, and experience in test-driven development. Responsibilities
- Lead a team of developers in the Commerce needs of our clients, including invoicing, billing, personal, and real-time processing
- Implement new data sources, data governance layers, and store data in Elastic Search
- Migrate to cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability and reliability
- Develop complex data pipelines, ensuring test-driven development and high-quality performance
- Collaborate with stakeholders from engineering, product, and business teams, ensuring clear and effective communication channels
- Continuously learn new technologies and programming languages quickly, demonstrating adaptability in a dynamic environment
- Provide constructive feedback to team members, ensuring a positive work environment and fostering collaboration
- Ensure timely delivery of projects, meeting or exceeding project requirements
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Python development with extensive knowledge of Spark and Hive data processing framework
- Expertise in SQL
- Experience in test-driven development, writing unit testing cases using mock frameworks
- Good understanding of data structure & algorithms, and experience in developing complex data pipelines
- Experience working with AWS cloud and its components, such as EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, RDS
- Relevant leadership experience and excellent communicational skills
- Good spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
