Lead Python Developer

We are in search of a Lead Python Developer to improve our current security reporting tool.
The chosen applicant will concentrate on breaking down the codebase into modules, connecting it with various systems, and appending new functionalities to heighten the tool's capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Refactor and break down the existing Python codebase to improve maintainability and scalability
- Bolster integration with JIRA for effective ticket creation and control email notifications for issues identified
- Work seamlessly with the team to integrate new functionalities
- Uphold high performance and reliability of the tool
- Integrate security features into the tool for safeguarding data
- Enhance the tool's database interactions with GCP BQ + SQL
Requirements
- 5+ years of expertise in Python development, especially within security tool environments
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Proficiency in modular programming and code refactoring
- Proficiency with relational databases and knowledge of SQL
- Skills in using HTML/JS for web scraping features
- Background in utilizing JIRA for ticket management
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
- Qualifications in security or Python development would be beneficial
Nice to have
- Experience with CI/CD and ETL/ELT solutions
- Knowledge of Google Cloud BigQuery and Looker Studio for advanced data analytics
- Practical experience with Python Jira and JIRA API for enhanced tool integration
