We're on the lookout for a skilled Lead Python Developer ready to join our remote team.

In this role, you'll take the reins on a groundbreaking cloud-based migration project in collaboration with a prominent healthcare provider. Your primary mission will be crafting and advancing applications to enhance, reshape, and consolidate user data from novel sources while upholding data governance layers.

Responsibilities
  • Guide initiatives on a cutting-edge cloud-based migration project partnering with a leading healthcare provider, encompassing the construction and evolution of applications for enriching, transforming, and aggregating user data from emerging sources
  • Sustain data governance layers, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements
  • Cooperate with internal stakeholders from engineering, product, and business teams to cater to specific data needs on a global scale, tailored to distinct requirements
  • Grasp the intricacies associated with handling data at scale, proactively addressing particular challenges as they unfold
  • Develop proficiency and insight into fundamental big data concepts, applying them to tasks within the realm of data engineering
  • Assimilate new technologies and programming languages swiftly, showcasing adaptability in a dynamic setting
  • Participate actively in troubleshooting issues linked to data engineering tasks and project prerequisites
  • Infuse creativity into conveying alterations and updates to a broad spectrum of stakeholders, ensuring lucid and potent communication channels
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, boasting a solid history of steering successful projects for a minimum of 1 year
  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in a pertinent field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Robust command of Python and SQL, showcasing practical experience in data processing
  • Familiarity with Databricks, Elasticsearch, and NoSQL Databases
  • Background in navigating AWS-based data solutions, spanning migration and implementation
  • Competence in CI/CD, highlighting versatility in software development practices
  • Proficient communication skills with stakeholders across all tiers
  • Adept in spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
  • Fluency in Amazon DynamoDB
  • Experience with Apache Hive, Apache Spark, and Redash
