We are currently seeking a qualified Lead Python Developer to join our remote team.

In this position, you will be leading efforts on a cloud-based migration project with a leading healthcare provider. You will be responsible for building and developing applications to enrich, transform, and aggregate user data from new sources while maintaining data governance layers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead efforts on a cloud-based migration project with a leading healthcare provider, including building and developing applications to enrich, transform, and aggregate user data from new sources
  • Maintain data governance layers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders from engineering, product, and business teams to support specific data needs on a global scale, based on specific requirements
  • Understand the challenges associated with working with data at scale, addressing specific issues as they arise
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of basic big data concepts, applying them to data engineering tasks
  • Learn new technologies and programming languages quickly, demonstrating adaptability in a dynamic environment
  • Actively participate in solving problems related to data engineering tasks and project requirements
  • Be creative about communicating changes and updates to a wide group of stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication channels
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a proven track record of leading successful projects for a minimum of 1 year
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of Python and SQL, demonstrating hands-on experience in data processing
  • Experience with Databricks, Elasticsearch, and NoSQL Databases
  • Experience working with AWS-based data solutions, including migration and implementation
  • Experience in CI/CD, showcasing versatility in software development practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Good spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
  • Proficiency in Amazon DynamoDB
  • Experience with Apache Hive, Apache Spark, and Redash
