We are looking for a Lead PHP Developer to join our remote team and work on a project for a payments network in the insurance industry. As a Lead PHP Developer, you will be responsible for leading the development team and working closely with the project manager to ensure the successful delivery of the project. You will also be responsible for the design and development of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions using PHP, MySQL and other related technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development team and ensure the successful delivery of the project
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance web applications using PHP
- Work closely with the project manager to ensure that project requirements are met and delivered on time
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
- Collaborate with other team members to identify and resolve technical issues
- Ensure that the software is developed according to industry best practices and coding standards
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality software solutions
- Continuously improve development processes and methodologies to increase efficiency and quality
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in PHP development, with a strong understanding of OOP principles and design patterns
- 1+ year experience in leading development teams and managing projects from start to finish
- Expertise in Laravel framework and other related PHP frameworks
- Experience in developing and customizing SugarCRM modules and workflows
- Experience in designing and developing RDBMS schema and queries
- Experience in working with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at an Upper-Intermediate level
Nice to have
- Experience in developing Microservices Architecture
- Experience in working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra
- Familiarity with .NET technologies
