Lead PHP Developer

We are seeking a Lead PHP Developer to join our remote team and help us develop innovative solutions for our client, a digital payments platform provider for the insurance industry. As the Lead PHP Developer you will be responsible for leading the development team and ensuring the quality of the code, as well as implementing new features and improving the performance of existing ones.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development team and ensure the quality of the code
  • Implement new features and improve the performance of existing ones
  • Collaborate with the product management team to define the product roadmap and prioritize features
  • Work with the infrastructure team to ensure the scalability and reliability of the platform
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards
  • Ensure that the code is well-documented and maintained, and that it adheres to best practices
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in PHP development, with a strong understanding of PHP frameworks such as Laravel
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in leading development teams, including conducting code reviews, providing feedback and mentoring team members
  • Experience in profiling PHP applications to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize code
  • Experience in developing customizations for SugarCRM
  • Expertise in MySQL and NoSQL tools, with a strong understanding of database design and optimization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure and Git for version control
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at a B2+ level
Nice to have
  • Experience in software development using .NET technologies
  • Certification in PHP development or related fields
