We are in search of a devoted remote Lead Performance Test Engineer. This role is crucial in assessing the capacity, stability, and scalability of 3rd party applications prior to their integration into our client's systems.
The role involves designing and conducting tests to ensure systems function at optimum levels, thus offering excellent service to our clients. As a part of our remote team, collaboration with other team members, primarily located in North American time zones, is a key expectation.
Responsibilities
- Design and conduct performance and load tests for optimal system functioning
- Develop and manage performance test plans, incorporating scripts and test data
- Establish performance testing frameworks with enduring test data storage and trend analysis
- Team up with the development team to identify and rectify performance issues
- Engage in defect triage discussions and question development priority perceptions
- Convey information effectively in a startup-like environment with team members
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Performance Testing, emphasizing analysis and testing fundamentals
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in Performance Testing Tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar
- Familiarity with REST API testing and generating test data
- Robust understanding of Generative AI and its applications
- Proficiency in communicating effectively in a startup-like environment with an Upper-Intermediate level English
- A proven track record in designing and conducting high-quality performance test plans
- Proficiency in establishing performance testing frameworks with enduring test data storage and trend analysis
- Experience in stubbing/mocking dependencies for testing purposes
- Competence in monitoring testing environments and identifying performance issues
- Ability to engage in defect triage discussions and question development priority perceptions
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
