Lead Node.js Developer for a Retail & Distribution company

Currently we are looking for a remote Lead Node.js Developer for a Retail & Distribution company for our team.

The customer is a retailer of branded footwear and apparel. The company offers men, women, and children shoes, clothing, and accessories including sportswear for football, tennis, golf, running, basketball, and training purposes.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, test and deliver robust, scalable and reusable Backend (Java) and Frontend (JS React) solutions
  • Participate to testing activities (create own test cases, manage test data, set up environments, etc., as no test engineers present in the team)
  • Troubleshoot complex data issues and perform root cause analysis to proactively resolve product and operational issues
  • Collaborates with the Full Stack community to establish standards and best practices
Requirements
  • Experience in setting up microservices solutions
  • Experience in Java, REST APIs, Spring, Spring Boot (5+ years)
  • Good knowledge of SQL and No-SQL
  • Experience working with Data warehousing tools, including Dynamo DB
  • Good knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud platform tools
  • Good GitHub knowledge
  • Average CICD knowledge and experience using CI tools like Jenkins
  • Good knowledge of Kafka
  • Good testing experience (unit test, component test, system test) with some of the most common tools in the market (Cypress, Selenium, etc.)
  • Streaming API knowledge is a plus
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Proactive and autonomous
  • Experience working in multinational and multicultural environments
  • Experience working in Scrum
