Lead Network Engineer (Cloud DNS / BlueCat)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Network Engineer to oversee and manage our Cloud DNS and BlueCat environments.

As a key member of our cloud networking team, you will architect, implement, and maintain our sophisticated DNS infrastructure while working with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and scalable network solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Design and manage cloud network infrastructure across hybrid environments
  • Administer BlueCat DNS and DHCP systems to centralize network operations
  • Oversee and align DNS records across cloud-native platforms (AWS Route 53, GCP Cloud DNS, Azure DNS) and on-premises solutions like BlueCat
  • Develop network policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and operational reliability
  • Monitor network performance to ensure high availability and promptly address any issues
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align network designs with both technical and business requirements
  • Automate network tasks using scripting tools such as Python or Terraform to improve efficiency
  • Incorporate security and best practices into all areas of the cloud and DNS network ecosystem
  • Implement innovative technologies by staying updated on industry trends and advancements
Requirements
  • 5+ years in cloud networking services, including expertise in VPC, VPN, and Cloud Interconnect
  • Proficiency in Cloud DNS platforms and centralized BlueCat DNS/DHCP management
  • Comprehensive understanding of network security principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Knowledge of IP addressing, CIDR notation, and subnetting for complex configurations
  • Skills in network automation tools and scripting using Python or Terraform
  • Background in Jenkins pipeline integration and build processes
  • Competency in using network monitoring tools like ELK or SolarWinds for analysis
  • Strong problem-solving abilities in managing complex network infrastructures
  • Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities across hybrid or remote teams
  • Flexibility to participate in on-call rotation schedules when needed
Nice to have
  • GCP, AWS, or Azure Professional Cloud Network Engineer certifications
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes and Docker
