We are looking for an exceptional Lead Mobile Engineer with extensive production experience across both iOS and Android platforms to lead the design, architecture, and evolution of large-scale, customer-facing mobile experiences.

The ideal candidate has deep, authoritative expertise in Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, Design Systems, and modern iOS architecture, combined with a proven track record of technical leadership, setting engineering direction, and driving scalability, performance, reliability, and engineering excellence across mobile organizations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of scalable, high-quality native iOS applications using Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI
  • Define and drive the technical vision for modern iOS architecture, modular components, reusable frameworks, and engineering best practices across the mobile organization
  • Own the strategy and evolution of Design Systems and reusable UI components, enabling consistent customer experiences and accelerating development efficiency across multiple product teams
  • Lead the delivery of complex, high-impact customer-facing features that integrate with backend APIs, microservices, personalization, loyalty, product, cart, checkout, and other enterprise platforms
  • Partner strategically with Product, UX/Design, Android, Backend, QA, Architecture, and Platform leadership to shape and deliver end-to-end solutions aligned with business objectives
  • Collaborate closely with the Mobile Platform team to define, adopt, and enhance shared frameworks, foundational capabilities, architecture standards, developer tooling, and common services
  • Provide technical leadership across the complete SDLC, including requirements analysis, technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support
  • Define and champion the roadmap for CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, build processes, release automation, and developer productivity improvements
  • Set the standard for clean, maintainable, secure, and testable code with strong unit and UI test coverage
  • Lead code reviews, technical design reviews, architecture discussions, and drive the creation of high-quality engineering documentation
  • Proactively identify, prioritize, and drive the resolution of technical debt while leading improvements in application performance, scalability, reliability, security, accessibility, and maintainability
  • Mentor and grow senior and mid-level engineers, share technical knowledge, and establish strong engineering standards and a culture of excellence across the mobile organization
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience developing native iOS applications, with substantial production experience across both iOS and Android
  • 1+ years of demonstrated technical leadership on large-scale mobile initiatives
  • Deep expertise in Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI, along with the iOS SDK
  • Proven track record of designing, building, and evolving Design Systems, reusable UI components, and shared libraries/frameworks adopted across multiple teams
  • Advanced understanding of iOS application architecture, design patterns, modularization, dependency management, and separation of concerns, with the ability to define architectural direction at scale
  • Expertise in designing applications that integrate with REST APIs and distributed backend services
  • Strong command of networking, concurrency, and data persistence, along with application lifecycle, memory management, and performance optimization
  • Advanced skills in unit testing, UI testing, and code quality practices, including Git and automated build/release processes
  • Solid experience defining and improving CI/CD pipelines and mobile application deployment processes
  • Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile development practices, and production support for large-scale applications
  • Demonstrated success partnering with Platform teams and cross-functional engineering leadership to deliver shared technical capabilities
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and lead resolution of complex production issues using application monitoring, analytics, crash reporting, and observability tools
  • Proven experience mentoring engineers and establishing engineering standards across teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence technical direction and effectively convey technical decisions, trade-offs, risks, and dependencies to executive, technical, and non-technical stakeholders

  • Extensive background in leading large-scale retail, e-commerce, or high-traffic consumer mobile applications
  • Proven experience defining modular iOS architectures and leading migration/evolution of large existing codebases
  • Demonstrated success driving engineering excellence initiatives and technical strategy across mobile organizations
