Find me a jobWe are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Lead Manual Tester to join our engineering team and guide quality assurance efforts across the full development lifecycle. In this role, you will be the guardian of software quality, ensuring that every feature released is robust, performant, and delightful to use. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts, from initial requirement gathering through post-deployment verification, while providing leadership and direction to the testing process.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and technical designs to create comprehensive, structured test plans and detailed test cases
- Perform thorough manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing, of web and mobile applications
- Document, prioritize, and track software defects clearly
- Collaborate closely with software developers to reproduce bugs, analyze root causes, and verify fixes
- Participate in sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives to advocate for quality-first design
- Ensure acceptance criteria are testable throughout Agile ceremonies
- Assist business stakeholders with User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Conduct smoke testing on production environments during release cycles
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester in an Agile software development team, with prior experience leading testing efforts
- Knowledge of software QA methodologies, including black-box, white-box, regression, and boundary testing
- Skills in analytical and problem-solving thinking, with the ability to approach testing from an end-user perspective to uncover hidden bugs
- Proficiency in clear and concise communication, particularly when documenting bug reports and step-by-step reproduction instructions
- Familiarity with bug tracking and test management systems such as Jira, TestRail, and Zephyr
- Familiarity with Confluence for documentation and collaboration
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
