Lead JavaScript Developer

JavaScript, TypeScript, Oracle Cloud

We are on the hunt for a proficient and seasoned Lead JavaScript Developer to enhance our operations team. The ideal candidate will be at the forefront of a long-term project aimed at transforming a traditional application suite into a modern SaaS-based solution utilizing the latest technologies and frameworks, all hosted on AWS cloud. This role requires a visionary leader capable of innovative thinking and effective execution, propelling the project with technical expertise and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities
  • Spearhead the development and deployment of contemporary JavaScript solutions
  • Design robust and scalable web applications using advanced JavaScript frameworks
  • Lead the team in tackling intricate coding challenges and refining algorithms
  • Work alongside various teams to conceptualize, design, and launch new features
  • Uphold high standards of code quality and sustainability through reviews and the establishment of best practices
  • Oversee project timelines, allocate resources efficiently, and manage communications with stakeholders
  • Convert business needs into detailed technical specifications
  • Enforce security measures and data protection protocols
  • Enhance application performance for optimal speed and scalability
  • Cultivate a learning environment and foster accountability among junior developers
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a similar field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in JavaScript development
  • At least one year in a leadership or team management capacity
  • Documented experience in managing full lifecycle projects or significant involvement across various stages of multiple projects
  • Proficiency in TypeScript to improve code quality and boost developer efficiency
  • Skilled in utilizing AWS services for designing and deploying scalable solutions
  • Extensive experience with unit testing frameworks like Jest, Karma, and Mocha to ensure software stability
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HTML/CSS for crafting responsive and intuitive user interfaces
  • Fluent in English with outstanding communication skills, capable of a B2 level or higher for effective collaboration and stakeholder interaction

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud technologies
  • Exposure to Agile development practices
