We are seeking a highly skilled remote Lead Java Developer to join our team, working with a leading e-commerce company that provides a platform for online retailers to sell their products.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Java microservices and web applications that support the company's e-commerce platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform meets the highest standards of quality, scalability, and reliability. Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java microservices and web applications that support the company's e-commerce platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Designers, and QA Engineers, to ensure the platform meets the highest standards of quality, scalability, and reliability
  • Participate in code reviews, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to software development best practices
  • Contribute to the development of technical specifications and project plans
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Java development, demonstrating your proficiency in Java programming and related frameworks such as Spring Data and Spring MVC
  • 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
  • Expertise in building and deploying Java microservices using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
  • In-depth knowledge of Amazon Web Services, including experience with EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudFormation
  • Experience with Apache Kafka and RESTful API design and implementation
  • Familiarity with SQL and database technologies, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
  • Proficiency in Angular or other modern frontend frameworks
  • Experience with SOAP-based web services
  • Good understanding of software development best practices, including version control, code reviews, and testing
  • Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
  • Experience with other programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Go
  • Familiarity with other message brokers such as RabbitMQ or ActiveMQ
  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques for Java applications
