We are seeking a highly skilled remote Lead Java Developer to join our team, working with a leading provider of financial software solutions.
In this position, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our financial software solutions, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and designers, to deliver innovative and scalable solutions that meet our clients' needs. Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable Java applications using Microservice Architecture Pattern
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and design innovative solutions that meet client needs
- Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards, conducting code reviews and providing feedback to team members
- Deploy and manage applications in a cloud environment using Apache Kafka, Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services, Docker, and Helm
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using SQL and REST
- Develop web applications using Angular or similar frameworks
- Contribute to the development of Spring Batch and Spring Boot applications, with a good understanding of Spring Framework
- Work in an agile environment, following agile methodologies and participating in agile ceremonies
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of core Java concepts and design patterns
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Expertise in Microservice Architecture Pattern, showcasing your ability to design and develop scalable and maintainable applications
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services, Docker, and Helm, demonstrating your proficiency in deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment
- Working knowledge of SQL and REST, with experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs
- Experience in developing web applications using Angular or similar frameworks
- Proficiency in Spring Batch, Spring Boot, and SOAP, with a good understanding of Spring Framework
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies, with experience working in an agile environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Fluent spoken and written English at an upper-intermediate level or higher, enabling effective communication
Nice to have
- Knowledge of other programming languages, such as Python or JavaScript
- Experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in a production environment
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment
