Lead Java Developer

We are in search of a Lead Java Developer to collaborate with our cross-functional scrum team within a designated business capability POD.

The ideal candidate will bring strong proficiency in Java and Spring Framework, playing a pivotal role in developing backend solutions to optimize our business processes.

Responsibilities

Design, improve, and maintain the Java codebase
Build and implement back-end microservices and REST APIs
Perform unit testing to ensure robust software functionality
Sustain high code quality through collaborative code reviews
Promote and adhere to best practices such as unit testing, continuous integration, and peer code reviews
Participate in SCRUM ceremonies to foster team collaboration
Engage in estimation and planning sessions to align development efforts with project objectives
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; a Master’s degree in Computer Science is preferred
A minimum of 5 years in software development roles
More than 1 year in leadership-focused positions
Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework
Competency in creating APIs and expertise in microservices architecture
Background in financial services, specifically wealth management, preferred but not required
Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken, C1 level)
