Lead Java Developer

We are in search of a Lead Java Developer to collaborate with our cross-functional scrum team within a designated business capability POD.
The ideal candidate will bring strong proficiency in Java and Spring Framework, playing a pivotal role in developing backend solutions to optimize our business processes.
Responsibilities
- Design, improve, and maintain the Java codebase
- Build and implement back-end microservices and REST APIs
- Perform unit testing to ensure robust software functionality
- Sustain high code quality through collaborative code reviews
- Promote and adhere to best practices such as unit testing, continuous integration, and peer code reviews
- Participate in SCRUM ceremonies to foster team collaboration
- Engage in estimation and planning sessions to align development efforts with project objectives
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; a Master’s degree in Computer Science is preferred
- A minimum of 5 years in software development roles
- More than 1 year in leadership-focused positions
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework
- Competency in creating APIs and expertise in microservices architecture
- Background in financial services, specifically wealth management, preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken, C1 level)
