Lead Java Developer

Java, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, ReactJS, Java Messaging, Cloud Platforms, Apache Kafka, Microsoft Azure

We are in search of a Lead Java Developer to collaborate with our cross-functional scrum team within a designated business capability POD.

The ideal candidate will bring strong proficiency in Java and Spring Framework, playing a pivotal role in developing backend solutions to optimize our business processes.

Responsibilities
  • Design, improve, and maintain the Java codebase
  • Build and implement back-end microservices and REST APIs
  • Perform unit testing to ensure robust software functionality
  • Sustain high code quality through collaborative code reviews
  • Promote and adhere to best practices such as unit testing, continuous integration, and peer code reviews
  • Participate in SCRUM ceremonies to foster team collaboration
  • Engage in estimation and planning sessions to align development efforts with project objectives
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; a Master’s degree in Computer Science is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years in software development roles
  • More than 1 year in leadership-focused positions
  • Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework
  • Competency in creating APIs and expertise in microservices architecture
  • Background in financial services, specifically wealth management, preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken, C1 level)
