Lead Java Developer

Java, JUnit, SQL, Google Cloud Platform, Google Cloud Spanner, Google Guice, Guava, Protocol Buffers

We are looking for a Lead Java Developer to join our dynamic team as we work on building a scalable and high-performance platform to be utilized by our external customers for new application development.

As a key part of our expanding team, you will leverage your expertise to architect solutions, guide a group of talented developers, and engage directly with stakeholders in one of our top-tier technology company’s most innovative areas.

Responsibilities
  • Mentor and support 2-3 developers, assisting with obstacle resolution
  • Engage in software engineering hands-on project contributions
  • Participate in regular calls with US-based client stakeholders to review pending issues
  • Guide the technology decisions for scalability and performance improvements
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and product managers to refine platform capabilities
  • Architect and propose designs for team-delivered components
  • Focus on delivering high-quality, on-time, and efficient software solutions
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development cycles
  • Over 5 years of hands-on proficiency in Java
  • At least 2 years of team leadership experience
  • Background in direct client communication and team performance reporting
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the capability to analyze and address issues independently
  • Self-management and effective prioritization expertise
  • Proficiency in JUnit and Mockito
  • Competency in SQL
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Qualifications in Guice and Protocol Buffers
  • Knowledge of Guava
