We are seeking a skilled remote Lead Java Developer to join our team. In this role, you will lead technical design reviews, functional specification reviews, and contribute to development project estimates, scheduling, test plans, and code reviews. You will be responsible for proactively identifying and resolving potential problems/issues, including authoring of technical specifications. Responsibilities
- Lead technical design reviews, functional specification reviews, and contribute to development project estimates, scheduling, test plans, and code reviews
- Proactively identify and resolve potential problems/issues, including authoring of technical specifications
- Regularly inform manager or handler on progress of project and his/her teammates work, identifying risks early in the process
- Review and suggest the Unit test cases and the testing approach used by the team
- Work with the Architects community and understand overall direction for the organization
- Enforce best coding practices
Requirements
- 5+ years of Senior Developer experience with Java
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Experience in building microservices using Spring Boot
- Familiarity with AWS
- Experience with Angular
- Experience with multiple database systems: RDBMS and NoSQL
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform
