We are seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer to guide the success of our software systems, which are vital in planning the development of Data Centers, including overseeing supply timelines and supplier relationships. You will manage a team of developers, engage with the client daily, and contribute directly to building high-performance platforms that serve as the backbone for future Logistics solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assist team members in resolving obstacles and blockers
- Collaborate with a Europe-based Lead to ensure efficient team management
- Represent the team as the Single Point of Contact in client-side Management and Product Owner meetings
- Conduct hands-on software development as an advanced-level Software Engineer
- Design, architect, and provide high-level estimates for project deliverables
- Ensure quality and timely delivery of software solutions
- Provide mentorship to enhance team members' performance and competency
- Monitor project progress, report achievements, and identify risks to stakeholders
- Analyze and solve technical challenges independently
- Contribute to development and integration activities throughout the entire system implementation life cycle
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in developing and integrating software through full system life cycles, including analyzing, designing, implementing, building, testing, and supporting
- 5+ years of hands-on Java experience
- 1+ years of experience leading software development teams
- Familiarity with SQL for database integration and operations
- Background in direct client communication, including performance reporting and team workload planning
- Showcase of problem-solving skills and capability to independently address complex issues
- Self-management and competency in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
Nice to have
- Understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Guice, and Protocol Buffers
- Proficiency in leveraging Guava for application optimization
- Capability to adapt to and utilize additional modern technologies as dictated by project needs
