Lead Java Developer

We are searching for a Lead Java Developer to collaborate with our cross-functional scrum team within a focused business capability POD.

The chosen candidate will offer a showcase of expertise in Java and Spring Framework, taking a pivotal role in developing backend solutions that streamline our business operations.

Responsibilities

Design and enhance the Java codebase
Build back-end microservices and REST APIs
Perform unit testing to ensure software reliability
Sustain high code quality through consistent review processes
Promote adherence to best practices such as code review, unit testing, and continuous integration
Participate in SCRUM ceremonies to foster team collaboration
Engage in estimation and planning to meet project milestones
Mentor and assist team members

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; Master’s degree in Computer Science preferred
Minimum of 5 years of development experience
Over 1 year of relevant leadership experience
Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework
Capability to construct APIs and understanding of microservices architecture
Background in financial services, particularly wealth management, preferred but not mandatory
Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken at C1 level)

Understanding of industry standards in financial services
