Lead Java Developer

We are looking for a skilled Lead Java Developer to join our remote team and work on a unique project with a large and important client. You will be part of a core team that has already built relationships with key executives and owners of products that EPAM will help modernize. You will be responsible for designing and developing microservices architecture solutions, ensuring seamless integration with AWS-based solutions and maintaining database integrity. Responsibilities
  • Design and develop microservices architecture solutions that meet the client's needs and adhere to industry best practices
  • Ensure seamless integration with AWS-based solutions and maintain database integrity
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, develop, and implement effective solutions
  • Engage in code reviews, testing, and debugging activities to ensure high-quality code
  • Optimize and fine-tune systems to ensure enhanced performance and scalability
  • Provide technical leadership to the team members, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards
  • Effectively communicate with the client to understand their requirements and provide regular updates on the project status
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Java development
  • 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
  • Proven experience in designing and developing microservices architecture solutions using Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Cloud, and/or Spring Cloud Streams
  • Extensive experience in RESTful API development and implementation
  • Strong command of Amazon Web Services, including experience with OSS Cloud Foundry, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, or Pivotal Web Services
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment, especially using Concourse CI or Jenkins
  • Solid understanding of Oracle Database Platform, as well as NoSQL databases
  • Experience with JavaScript, especially ReactJS
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools, such as JIRA or Trello
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work in cross-functional teams
  • Fluent English language skills with a minimum of Upper-Intermediate level
Nice to have
  • Experience with other programming languages, such as Python or C++
  • Experience with other front-end technologies, such as AngularJS or Vue.js
  • Experience with other cloud platforms, such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform
