Lead Java Developer

We are in search of a Lead Java Developer to collaborate with our cross-functional scrum team within a designated business capability POD.

The chosen candidate will bring strong proficiency in Java and Spring Framework, playing a pivotal role in developing backend solutions that optimize our business processes.

Responsibilities

Design, improve, and maintain the Java codebase
Build and enhance back-end microservices and REST APIs
Perform comprehensive unit testing to ensure software reliability
Sustain high code quality through regular code reviews
Promote adherence to best practices such as code review, unit testing, and continuous integration
Take part in SCRUM ceremonies to foster team collaboration
Engage in estimation and planning activities to meet project objectives
Offer mentorship and guidance to fellow developers

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; Master’s degree in Computer Science preferred
5+ years of development experience
1+ years of relevant leadership experience
Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework
Competency in building APIs and understanding microservices architecture
Background in financial services, especially in wealth management, preferred but not required
Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken at C1 level)
