Lead Java Developer

Java, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, ReactJS, Java Messaging, Cloud Platforms, Apache Kafka, Microsoft Azure

We are on the hunt for a Lead Java Developer to collaborate with our cross-functional scrum team in a specialized business capability POD.

The selected individual will demonstrate expertise in Java and Spring Framework, contributing significantly to building backend solutions that optimize our business operations.

Responsibilities
  • Design solutions for enhancing the Java codebase
  • Improve back-end microservices and REST APIs
  • Perform unit testing to ensure software reliability
  • Sustain high-quality code through regular reviews
  • Promote practices such as unit testing, code review, and continuous integration
  • Participate in SCRUM ceremonies to facilitate team collaboration
  • Engage in planning and estimation sessions to achieve alignment with project objectives
  • Offer mentorship and guidance to teammates
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; Master’s degree in Computer Science is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of development experience
  • Over 1 year of relevant leadership experience
  • Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework
  • Competency in API construction and understanding microservices architecture
  • Background in financial services, ideally in wealth management, though not mandatory
  • Showcase of excellent English communication skills (written and spoken at C1 level)

  • Knowledge of standards widely adopted in financial services
