Lead Java Developer

We are seeking a Lead Java Developer to join our team and help build a fleet management platform and service marketplace for our customers. As a backend engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining systems that are responsible for the fleet management, marketplace, and platform. You will create software that fully considers all aspects of performance, security, reliability, and monitoring in a multi-tenant SaaS platform. You will also be an active participant in an Agile Scrum team, coordinating with product management to estimate, refine, and plan the product roadmap for upcoming features.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain systems responsible for the fleet management, marketplace and platform
- Create software that fully considers all aspects of performance, security, reliability, and monitoring in a multi-tenant SaaS platform
- Document and communicate the design of the systems you produce so that other team members can rapidly understand the trade-offs and functioning of the system
- Coordinate with product management to estimate, refine, and plan the product roadmap for upcoming features
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Java development, showcasing your expertise in building performant, distributed systems
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Proficiency in Spring, JavaScript, and ReactJS, enabling you to create elegant solutions composed of simple components
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, PostgreSQL, and Docker containers running in Amazon ECS
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset, crucial for meticulous testing efforts
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher, enabling effective communication

- Experience with Scala for occasional Scala modifications
