Find me a jobWe are seeking an experienced Lead Go Language Developer to spearhead the development of mission-critical lab automation systems, Business Process Automation (BPA), and scalable software architectures within an Agile and ITIL-managed environment. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, focusing on delivering robust, reliable, and traceable solutions that integrate seamlessly with laboratory workflows.
Responsibilities
- Architect robust, standardized integration layers (adapters/services) aligning automation systems (robots/instruments) tightly with LIMS workflows
- Implement fault-tolerant patterns, state management, and recovery mechanisms for device/network failures
- Deliver comprehensive monitoring, logging, and device telemetry to ensure system reliability and observability
- Design, model, and govern a scalable, decoupled business rules engine, ensuring rules are versioned, traceable, and safely deployable without disrupting operations
- Build scalable, modular systems with independent frontend/backend evolution, implementing caching, async processing, and secure-by-design practices
- Define and document contract-first APIs with proper versioning and secure interfaces
- Ensure full auditability and end-to-end traceability of all experimental data flows
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and architecture walkthroughs, fostering autonomy, knowledge sharing, and full-stack system thinking
- Drive features end-to-end, prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and consistently meet deadlines
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with proven leadership background (1+ years)
- Expertise in lab automation context (LIMS, device integration) and Business Process Automation (BPA/rules engines)
- Proficiency in Go (Golang)
- Advanced knowledge of Ruby on Rails and Phoenix Framework
- Skills in relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle), NoSQL, and key-value stores
- Competency in API design and development using REST, GraphQL, and gRPC
- Familiarity with AWS services, including Elastic Container Service (ECS), Simple Storage Service (S3), and Application Load Balancer (ALB)
- Background in DevOps and infrastructure using Terraform, Docker, and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of advanced Git workflows, code review best practices, and branching/merging strategies
- Capability to apply Unit testing, Integration testing, and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) with a mindset of continuous learning and adaptability
- Proven experience in ITIL-managed organizations, with strong problem-solving/debugging abilities and excellent cross-functional communication
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (B2+ level)

- Hands-on experience implementing or extending LIMS platforms in lab automation environments
