We are looking for a Lead Go Developer to join our remote team and lead the IAS Backend migration project.

This role requires you to be proficient in Go language and have experience with Cloud Platforms and Google Cloud APIs. You will be responsible for executing the IAS Backend migration plan to serve existing and future customers. The plan includes designing the new Backend, and shifting the old IAS Backend to the new one.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the IAS Backend migration plan to serve existing and future IAS customers
  • Design the new IAS Backend and shift the old IAS Backend to the new one
  • Work on the old IAS Backend to serve existing customers while the new IAS Backend is not yet ready
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams like Developers, Business Analysts, and QA to ensure seamless project completion
  • Develop and deploy containerized applications on cloud
  • Develop and maintain Cloud APIs and integrate them with Google Cloud Platform services
  • Implement Protocol Buffers and gRPC
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing and deploying containerized applications on cloud, with Go language proficiency
  • 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
  • Familiarity with SQL and Database systems
  • Experience in Cloud API development and invocation
  • Strong familiarity with media processing, especially videos, is preferred
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform services including but not limited to GKE, Anthos Service Mesh (or Istio), Cloud Tasks, Cloud PubSub and others
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Fluent in English, with at least an Upper-Intermediate level of competency for seamless communication with the team and stakeholders
