Find me a jobWe are seeking a diligent and collaborative Lead Functional Tester to join our engineering team. In this role, you will act as the guardian of software quality, making sure every feature that launches is reliable, efficient, and satisfying for users. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts across the entire development lifecycle, from the earliest stages of requirement gathering through to post-deployment verification. Responsibilities
- Assess business requirements and technical designs to produce thorough, structured test plans and test cases
- Execute detailed manual testing, spanning functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing, for web and mobile applications
- Log, prioritize, and track software defects in an organized and transparent way
- Collaborate with software developers to reproduce bugs, determine root causes, and validate fixes
- Contribute to sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives to support quality-oriented design and ensure acceptance criteria remain testable
- Guide business stakeholders through User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Execute smoke testing on production environments as part of release cycles
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience
- A minimum of one year of experience leading and managing teams
- Demonstrated background as a QA Engineer or Software Tester within an Agile development setting
- Strong command of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including black-box, white-box, regression, and boundary testing
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to view issues from an end-user's perspective to catch hidden defects
- Strong communication skills, particularly when preparing bug reports and detailed reproduction steps
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools, such as Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or Confluence
- Strong written and spoken English proficiency at a B2 level or higher
