We are seeking a highly skilled remote Lead Full Stack Engineer with strong proficiency in Python, extensive knowledge of queueing systems, and expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure scaling.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performance applications while ensuring maximum availability and reliability through efficient queue management and global scaling strategies on AWS.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python, Django, Flask, or other relevant frameworks
- Implement efficient queueing systems using technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS to manage asynchronous tasks and decouple components
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate backend services seamlessly into web applications, ensuring optimal performance and user experience
- Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS to achieve global scalability and high availability for our applications
- Optimize application performance and resource utilization through effective load balancing, caching mechanisms, and database tuning
- Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline
- Monitor system health, performance metrics, and application logs to identify and resolve issues proactively, ensuring uninterrupted service availability
- Implement security best practices to safeguard sensitive data and protect against common vulnerabilities and threats
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions on time
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continually improve our development processes and enhance product capabilities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer with a strong focus on backend development using Python
- Deep understanding of queueing systems and their implementation in distributed applications
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, and CloudFormation
- Proficiency in designing and deploying highly available, fault-tolerant architectures on AWS
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Nice to have
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer) is a plus
- Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for infrastructure automation and configuration management
- Familiarity with message brokering and event-driven architectures
- Previous experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
