We are looking for an experienced remote Lead JavaScript Developer to join our team and lead the development of our laboratory information management, shipment, and logistics platform.
In this position, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the front-end platform used for these services. You will also be responsible for creating and managing API Gateway, PostgreSQL, and other Amazon Web Services (AWS) components, and following Agile methodologies for software development and delivery cycles.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain front-end platform used for information management, shipment, and logistics services
- Create and manage API Gateway, PostgreSQL, and other Amazon Web Services (AWS) components
- Follow Agile methodologies for software development and delivery cycles
- Ensure high-quality software delivery by performing regular testing, code reviews, and documentation
- Communicate effectively with team members and collaborate using Gitlab, ServiceNow, and other team tools
- Develop and maintain Continuous Integration (CI) practices and pipelines for multiple projects
- Lead a team of developers and provide guidance and support as needed
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in developing front-end applications using JavaScript and ReactJS
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- In-depth knowledge of Microservice Architecture Pattern and REST API design principles
- Experience with API Gateway and Apache Kafka
- Strong understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS), including PostgreSQL, Lambda, and EC2
- Experience with Agile methodologies for software development and delivery cycles
- Experience with Pick, Pack & Shipping process
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Upper-Intermediate level of spoken and written English
Nice to have
- Experience with other programming languages, such as Java, Python or Ruby
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with front-end testing frameworks, such as Jest and Enzyme
