We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Java Developer to join our dynamic remote team, working on a cloud-based platform for a leading financial services company.
In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and secure solutions using the latest technologies and methodologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure solutions using Java and related technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement software solutions that meet business requirements and user needs
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, ensuring high-quality software development practices and standards
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines
- Design and implement RESTful APIs, ensuring high levels of performance and security
- Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Helm, leveraging AWS services for scalability and reliability
- Ensure compliance with software development methodologies and standards, such as Agile and DevOps
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure high levels of software quality and reliability
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Java development, demonstrating expertise in developing complex applications and integrating with third-party systems
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience including excellent communication skills
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and API Gateway
- Hands-on experience with Angular and Spring Boot
- Experience with NoSQL Databases, Docker, Helm, and Microservice Architecture Pattern
- Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, maintaining a high level of quality and productivity
- Fluent spoken and written English at an upper-intermediate level or higher (B2+)
Nice to have
- Experience in the financial services industry or other highly regulated industries
- Knowledge of other programming languages, such as Python or Node.js
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools, such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD
- Experience with data analytics and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
