We are looking for a Lead Front End Developer with a strong background in JavaScript and frameworks like ReactJS and BackboneJS to join our remote team. As a Lead Front End Developer, you will lead the front-end development team, ensuring high-quality code and implementation of best practices. Your expertise in JavaScript and related libraries will be essential in developing scalable and maintainable web applications. You will also play a key role in providing technical leadership, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of front-end developers, providing technical guidance and support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement user-friendly and responsive web interfaces
- Drive the front-end architecture and technical decisions, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Develop and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable front-end code
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Identify and address technical debt and performance bottlenecks
- Work closely with UX/UI designers to translate design mockups and wireframes into responsive web pages
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in front-end development and recommend best practices
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Front End Developer
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant leadership experience
- Expertise in JavaScript and related libraries/frameworks such as ReactJS, BackboneJS, Material UI, Semantic UI, and jQuery
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality, responsive, and cross-browser compatible front-end solutions
- Experience in leading and mentoring a team of front-end developers
- Proficiency in version control systems such as Git
- Strong understanding of web development best practices and design principles
- Ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and backend developers
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and optimize code for performance and scalability
- Solid understanding of web accessibility standards and SEO principles
- B2+ English level proficiency
