We are looking for a highly organized and energetic Lead Event Manager located in Mexico to direct our client's Developer Relations (DevRel) presence at third-party technology symposiums worldwide. Instead of constructing events from scratch, you will partner remotely with global teams to guarantee that our technical staff and speakers have all necessary resources to sponsor, present, and operate exhibition booths at international developer meetups.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the main communication channel linking internal DevRel units with external convention planners throughout North America, Latin America, EMEA, and APAC
  • Build exact project timelines and ensure all promotional materials like display graphics, brand symbols, speaker summaries, talk details, and participant passes arrive right on time
  • Acquire exhibition equipment including monitors, furniture, power feeds, and internet connectivity while coordinating with regional warehouses to deliver SWAG and demo hardware to venues internationally
  • Author detailed yet accessible participant handbooks, shift rosters, and escalation guides so local staff execute daily operations flawlessly during conventions
  • Organize briefing video sessions prior to events involving presenters, booth personnel, and volunteer groups spread across various time zones to confirm complete preparation
  • Track expenditure logs, compile vendor pricing estimates, and follow internal buying protocols to guarantee purchase orders and invoices are finalized promptly
  • Synthesize post-convention results covering attendee foot traffic, lead scans, presentation turnout, photographs, and team debriefs to deliver a comprehensive final summary emphasizing core lessons
  • Maintain and optimize collaborative operational checklists, standard operating guidelines, and tracking spreadsheets to ensure seamless and consistent global event delivery
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of practical experience leading B2B tech conferences, trade show partnerships, exhibition booths, or international promotion campaigns
  • Proven ability to plan and execute remote operations by crafting precise instructions and transferring execution duties to local venue crews
  • Advanced multi-tasking skills to handle several international conventions simultaneously, plan operations backward from rigid deadlines, and keep shared project trackers current
  • Bilingual-level English communication abilities demonstrating exceptional written and verbal articulation
  • Demonstrated flexibility in collaborating with multicultural stakeholders globally across various time zones, encompassing availability for early morning European or evening Asian conferences when required
  • Proficiency in data software such as Excel or Google Sheets to oversee convention costs, cargo movements, and post-event performance metrics
  • Steady and practical temperament under pressure, capable of swiftly rectifying shipping bottlenecks, vendor issues, or unexpected timeline shifts
Nice to have
  • Past involvement partnering closely with software programmers, technical speakers, or developer communities to drive community engagement
  • Working knowledge of handling international freight forwarding, regional inventory depots, and customs clearance procedures
  • Everyday practical command of Google Workspace applications like Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Chat for effective virtual teamwork
  • Hands-on exposure to corporate purchasing workflows, purchase order processing systems, and supplier onboarding procedures
