Our customer, a leading company in the consumer finance marketplace specializing in Home Improvement, is looking for a remote Lead DevOps Security Engineer to help us in our mission to secure our customer's home improvement marketplace. As a Lead DevOps Security Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customer's home improvement marketplace is secure, resilient, and scalable. You will work closely with our development and architecture teams to ensure that all security measures are integrated into the development process.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement security measures to protect the customer's home improvement marketplace, including network security, data security, and application security
  • Collaborate with the development and architecture teams to ensure that security is integrated into the development process
  • Create and maintain security standards, policies, and procedures
  • Perform security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation actions
  • Develop and maintain security automation and toolchain integration
  • Develop and maintain security monitoring and alerting systems
  • Lead incident response efforts to security incidents, including forensics and root cause analysis
  • Manage security incidents and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for remediation efforts
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps and Security, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • 1 year of experience of leading a team
  • Expertise in Amazon AWS Security, including IAM, S3, EC2, and VPC
  • Experience with Azure Security, including Azure Active Directory, Azure Security Center, and Azure Sentinel
  • Strong knowledge of security vulnerabilities and how to detect and remediate them
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Compliance
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, and Bash
  • Ability to design and implement secure architecture patterns for cloud-based applications
  • Experience with security incident response, including forensics and root cause analysis
  • Experience with security automation and toolchain integration, such as GitLab, Jenkins, and Ansible
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at a B2+ level
Nice to have
  • Certification in a security-related field, such as CISSP, CCSP, or CISM
  • Experience with container security, such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with serverless computing, such as AWS Lambda and Azure Functions
  • Experience with compliance frameworks, such as PCI DSS and HIPAA
  • Experience with DevSecOps and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines
