We are seeking a highly skilled Lead DevOps Security Engineer to join our remote team and lead the establishment of a secure and compliant cloud infrastructure for our customer, one of the top 3 most valuable U.S. financial technology companies. As the Lead DevOps Security Engineer, you will be responsible for building and implementing security frameworks, processes, and tools to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our customer's cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of security frameworks, processes, and tools to secure our customer's cloud infrastructure
  • Identify and address security vulnerabilities in cloud infrastructure and applications
  • Implement security monitoring and logging solutions to detect and respond to security incidents
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into the DevOps workflow
  • Develop and maintain security documentation, including security policies, standards, and procedures
  • Provide guidance and support to development teams on security best practices and secure coding practices
  • Conduct security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and recovery
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices in cloud security
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, including a minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud security
  • Expertise in Amazon AWS Security, including Identity & Compliance, and Azure Security
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell
  • 1+ year of a leading experience
  • Strong understanding of security architecture and design principles, including secure network and system design, identity and access management, and security controls
  • Experience in identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities in cloud infrastructure and applications
  • Experience in implementing security monitoring and logging solutions using tools such as Splunk, ELK, and CloudWatch
  • Experience in implementing security best practices in a DevOps environment, including infrastructure as code, continuous integration and delivery, and automated security testing
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, software engineering, and security teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at an upper-intermediate level
Nice to have
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container security
  • Certification in cloud security, such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty or Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
  • Experience with compliance frameworks, such as PCI DSS and SOC 2
  • Experience with network security technologies, such as firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS
