Lead DevOps Engineer with AWS

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead DevOps Engineer with AWS to join our remote team and help us transform our client's current system into a target architecture. The project involves developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes, and Terraform to ensure seamless integration of internal and external components. As the Lead DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the project's development and leading a team of engineers to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance.
You will be working with a team of architects and developers to design and implement automated processes, identify automation opportunities, and recommend build/buy/partner components in the product architecture. You will also conduct a risk assessment of intermediate steps, including identifying manual steps or product disconnects during early releases, and integrating points between internal and external components.
- Oversee the development of Infrastructure as Code using Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes, and Terraform
- Collaborate with architects and developers to design and implement automated processes

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
- Manage project timelines and budgets
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, with at least 1 year of experience as a Lead DevOps Engineer
- Experience in Infrastructure as Code development and maintenance
- Strong understanding of security and data protection concepts
- Ability to integrate client IT services into the product architecture
- Proficiency in automation tools and processes, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in leading a team of engineers and managing projects from inception to delivery
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at a B2+ level
- Experience with other cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies
- Experience with data analytics and monitoring tools, such as Splunk or ELK stack
