Currently, we are looking for a remote Lead DevOps Engineer to join our team.
The customer is a gambling company that is active in all major segments of the gaming sector.
Responsibilities
- Improve the current platform
- Resolve bottlenecks
- Potentially enhance with new components (e.g. migrate from MS SQL to NoSQL DB)
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Excellent knowledge and good experience with UNIX/LINUX OS (RedHat, CentOS)
- Knowledge of cluster monitoring tools (for example, Ambari, Ganglia, or Nagios)
- General knowledge and experience with distributed systems, such as Hadoop or Spark (ideally some Cloudera knowledge)
- Good understanding of OS concepts, process management and resource scheduling
- Some basic experience with cloud platforms setup and management (AWS, Azure, ideally – GCP)
- Basics of networking, CPU, memory and storage
- Good hold of shell scripting
- Backup, monitoring, security and resource management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, B2+ level of English
Nice to have
- Knowledge of high degree configuration management and automation tools like Puppet or Chef for non-trivial installation
- Experience with streaming platforms setup (Kafka)
- Basics of infra as code, automation, containerization
