Lead DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to become an integral part of our remote team. Your focus will be optimizing our Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

This role entails designing, implementing, and maintaining our Azure environment to secure optimal performance and security. Collaborating with our development and operations teams, you'll be deploying and managing cloud-based applications through Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm. Your skills in Terraform, Bash, Ruby, and Python will prove essential in automating tasks and refining our processes.

Responsibilities
  • Undertaking the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Microsoft Azure infrastructure to support cloud-based applications
  • Managing the deployment and scaling of containerized applications using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
  • Task and process automation using Terraform, Bash, Ruby, and Python
  • Cooperation with development and operations teams for the seamless deployment and operation of cloud-based applications
  • Ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our Azure environment
  • Creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for efficient application deployment
  • Troubleshooting and monitoring issues in the Azure environment with Prometheus and Grafana
  • Leading and mentoring junior DevOps engineers on the team
Requirements
  • Background of 5+ years in DevOps, particularly focusing on Azure infrastructure
  • History of successfully leading and managing teams of developers
  • Deep understanding and experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation
  • Proficiency in shell scripting using Bash and either Ruby or Python
  • Knowledge of GitOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • Monitoring and logging experience with tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
  • Experienced in agile development methodologies
  • Outstanding communication skills in English, at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
  • Background in machine learning and data analytics technologies
  • Experience in PowerShell scripting
