We're inviting a Lead DevOps Engineer who possesses special competency in Microsoft Azure to join our remote workforce.
In the capacity of Lead DevOps Engineer, the diverse scope of your duties will encompass leadership for the DevOps team from the helm, managing the entirety of development operations, from infrastructure deployment automation to the apt employment of continuous integration and delivery practices. Our optimal candidate would be a seasoned DevOps Engineer, experienced in Microsoft Azure, possessing a comprehensive understanding of container orchestration systems such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and deployment automation tools like Helm and Terraform. Your duties will involve crafting, implementing and ensuring the maintenance of infrastructure and tools underlining our product offerings.
- Leadership for a team of DevOps Engineers, managing the entire development operations pipeline including infrastructure deployment automation and continuous integration and delivery practices
- Designing and implementing systems on Microsoft Azure that are scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant
- Creating and maintaining deployment automation tools using Helm and Terraform
- Providing technical leadership and guidance to team members to ensure high-quality, scalable, maintainable solutions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, enhancing system performance and reliability
- Working in tandem with Product and Engineering teams to identify and implement process improvements, adopt new technologies and frameworks
- Mentoring other DevOps Engineers, contributing to the development of technical skills across the organization
- A minimum of 5 years of DevOps exposure, with an emphasis on Azure and container orchestration systems
- At least 1 year of experience leading software development teams, showing exceptional leadership skills
- Extensive experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and Terraform
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Ruby, and Python
- Track record in setting up and maintaining continuous integration and delivery pipelines
- Self-driven with the ability to lead a team in a remote environment
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams
- Fluent English language, with at least an Upper-Intermediate level of competence to effectively communicate with stakeholders
- Practical knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack
- Experience with other containerization technologies like Docker Swarm
