Lead DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to join our team and take ownership of enhancing and scaling our infrastructure.

In this role, you will design and deploy reliable systems, optimize operational workflows, and collaborate with various teams to improve development and deployment processes. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in building scalable solutions in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement infrastructure solutions to support scalable web systems
  • Work closely with development and operations teams to optimize CI/CD workflows
  • Track and enhance system performance and reliability using observability and monitoring tools
  • Automate infrastructure setup and configuration using tools such as Terraform
  • Manage cloud platforms and services to ensure consistent performance and availability
  • Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to enhance system stability and efficiency
  • Administer and configure Linux and UNIX systems to ensure optimal functionality
  • Deploy and manage configuration management tools like Puppet, Ansible, or Chef
  • Streamline operational workflows to improve efficiency and reduce system downtime
  • Diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related issues to ensure consistent system uptime
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • At least 1 year of experience leading and managing development teams
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles
  • Experience designing and managing scalable web systems
  • Proficiency in managing and maintaining cloud platforms and services
  • Strong expertise in Linux and UNIX system administration
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or Chef
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools like ELK, Prometheus, New Relic, Sentry, or Lightstep
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform
  • Fluent English skills, both written and spoken, at a B2 level or higher
Nice to have
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Golang, Python, Ruby, Scala, PHP, or Bash
  • Knowledge of Docker orchestration tools like Nomad, Kubernetes, or Amazon ECS
