We are actively searching for a Lead DevOps Engineer to enhance our remote team by optimizing our Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
The position necessitates being accountable for the blueprint, operation, and preservation of our Azure environment, ensuring top-notch performance and security. The role requires cooperation with our development and operations teams to organize and govern cloud-based applications using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm. Proficiency in Terraform, Bash, Ruby, and Python is essential to automate tasks and refine our processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversight, creation, and maintenance of our Microsoft Azure infrastructure supporting our cloud-based applications
- Organization, management, and scaling of containerized applications utilizing Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
- Task and process automation using Terraform, Bash, Ruby, and Python
- Partnership with development and operations teams ensuring smooth deployment and operation of cloud-based applications
- Assurance of high availability, optimal performance, and secure Azure environment
- Development and upkeep of CI/CD pipelines for efficient application deployment
- Monitoring and resolution of issues in the Azure environment using Prometheus and Grafana
- Leadership and mentoring of junior DevOps engineers within the team
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of DevOps experience, specifically with Azure infrastructure
- Exemplary track record of leading and managing developer teams, ensuring successful project accomplishments
- Comprehensive understanding and experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
- Strong skills in Shell scripting using Bash along with proficiency in either Ruby or Python
- Knowledge of GitOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Demonstrable experience with Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and logging purposes
- Established experience in Agile development methodologies
- Excellent English communication abilities, preferably with an upper-intermediate level or beyond
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with machine learning and data analytics technologies
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
