We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to join our remote workforce and assist in the refinement of our Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
The chosen candidate will play a vital role in the blueprinting, implementation, and upkeep of our Azure landscape, guaranteeing peak performance and security. Collaboration with our development and operations teams to launch and administer cloud-based applications using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm will be key. Proficiency in Terraform, Bash, Ruby, and Python will be essential to the automation of duties and the simplification of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversight, execution, and sustainment of the Microsoft Azure infrastructure supporting our cloud applications
- Deployment, administration, and scaling of containerized applications through Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
- Task and process automation utilizing Terraform, Bash, Ruby, and Python
- Teamwork with development and operations groups guaranteeing the smooth launch and operation of cloud applications
- Assurance of high availability, performance, and security within our Azure landscape
- Creation and sustainment of CI/CD pipelines for efficient application launch
- Monitoring and problem-solving in the Azure landscape using Prometheus and Grafana
- Guidance and mentorship provided to junior DevOps engineers within the team
Requirements
- Grounded experience in DevOps spanning 5+ years, with an emphasis on Azure infrastructure
- Verified experience in guiding and managing developer teams, facilitating successful project completions
- In-depth know-how and familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Acquaintance with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) instruments such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation
- Fluency in Shell scripting using Bash and either Ruby or Python
- Knowledge of GitOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Practice in monitoring and logging using tools like Prometheus and Grafana
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Command of the English language, possessing an Upper-Intermediate proficiency or above
